Queen at Sea is a 2026 drama film written and directed by Lance Hammer. Starring Juliette Binoche, Tom Courtenay and Anna Calder-Marshall, it follows a middle-aged woman struggling with her mother's dementia.
The film had its world premiere at the main competition of the 76th Berlin International Film Festival on February 17, 2026, where it was nominated for the Golden Bear.[1]
Premise
Follows a woman who is concerned for her aging mother, so she moves back to London with her teenage daughter.

Production
Principal photography for Queen at Sea began on 18 April 2023 in London, written and directed by Lance Hammer, and starring Juliette Binoche, Tom Courtenay, Anna Calder-Marshall, Steven Cree, Florence Hunt, and Cody Molko.[2][3] The Match Factory was handling sales for the film.[4]
