Žitavce, formerly Žitavské Ďarmoty (Hungarian: Zsitvagyarmat) is a village and municipality in the Nitra District in western central Slovakia, in the Nitra Region.^[4]

In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1232.

The municipality lies at an altitude of 141 metres (463 ft)^[3] and covers an area of 8.28 km² (3.20 sq mi) (2024).^[5]

It has a population of 396 people (31 December 2024).^[7]

In year 2021 was 412 people by ethnicity 386 as Slovak, 22 as Not found out, 3 as Hungarian, 1 as Czech, 1 as Ukrainian, 1 as Polish and 1 as Greek.
