Publift (founded in 2015) is an Australian advertising technology company headquartered in Sydney. The company develops software and services that help digital publishers manage and optimize programmatic advertising. Publift was ranked in the Australian Financial Review’s Fast 100 list of high-growth companies in 2021. In 2023, it became a wholly owned subsidiary of Carsales, an Australian digital marketplace.

History

Publift was established in 2015 by Colm Dolan and Tobin Page, former Google employees. The company initially offered ad operations management before expanding into proprietary technologies and optimization tools.[1][2][3]

By 2021, Publift reported annual revenues of A$30.9 million and was included in the Australian Financial Review Fast 100 list of high-growth Australian companies, ranking 60.[4]

In 2023, the company was acquired by Carsales, but continues to operate under its own brand.[5] In March 2025, Publift opened a European headquarters in Dublin, Ireland, supported by IDA Ireland. The new office was announced with plans to employ around 50 staff in engineering, sales, and customer support.[6]

In August 2025, Publift appointed Amy Jansen-Flynn, who formerly served in senior roles at Adform and REA Group, as Managing Director, succeeding Ben Morrisroe, who had joined in 2019 and contributed to the company’s international expansion.[7][8][9]

Services and technology

Publift’s central product is Fuse, an AI-powered ad management and optimization platform that consolidates header bidding, real-time analytics, layout testing, and yield management into a single system. Fuse allows publishers to manage multiple demand sources, test ad layouts, and receive performance-based recommendations. The company employs data scientists and engineers to review performance data weekly and adjust settings for monetization.[10][11]

The platform supports multivariate testing, enabling publishers to experiment with different ad placements and formats. Publift also facilitates curated deals with premium advertisers.

Publift also offers browser-based tools such as Ad Wizard, a Google Chrome extension that allows publishers to view on-page ad data, monitor latency, and block specific ads.[12]
