Natalie Musteata
Natalie Musteata is a Romanian-American[1] art curator, writer, and film person. She holds a Doctorate in art history and a film certificate from CUNY Graduate Center (2019).[1][2]
She is best known for co-directing (with Alexandre Singh) the film Two People Exchanging Saliva, which received a nomination for the Best Live Action Short Film at the 98th Academy Awards.[3]
In 2014, she will contribute the paper “The ‘I’ of the Artist-Curator” to the conference Exhibitions’ Histories at Centre Pompidou.[4]
Publications include “Judy Chicago, Miriam Schapiro, and the CalArts Feminist Program, ‘Womanhouse’, 1972” in The Artist as Curator (2015),[5] “The Origins of the Transhistorical Museum: The Artist as Curator” in Frans Hals Museum (2018),[6] and “Odd Walls, Even Pages: Andy Warhol as Curator and Publisher” in Andy Warhol Exhibits (2020).[7]
