Jacobsons Coach Tours is a bus operator based in Mooroopna, Victoria, Australia. The company provides school bus and charter services in the Goulburn Valley. It was founded in 1955 and operates a fleet of approximately 44 vehicles.

History

Jacobsons Coach Tours was established in 1955 by Eric Jacobson at the original depot on Mclennan Street, Mooroopna. In 1987 the company moved to its current depot at 1 Huggard Drive, Mooroopna and in 2007 the fleet had reached 100 Vehicles.[2] In 2006 Jacobsons purchased McColl's Kyabram and in 2011 they purchased Grieve Nominees, Shepparton; Fred Hall Bus Lines, Shepparton; and Echuca Bus Lines, Echuca.[3] At the beginning of 2026 Jacobsons sold 14 buses to Panorama Coaches[4], the biggest sale the company had done.

Current operations

Jacobsons Coach Tours currently operates on Charter and Town Services as well as School Bus runs. Notably, Jacobsons operates the Mooroopna - Shepparton town service. They are also involved in Rail Replacement runs on the Victorian V/Line network, most regularly on the Shepparton Line. Jacobsons also run the Mooroopna - Shepparton Conveyance Allowance Program for school students alongside Dysons , who operate the Shepparton half of the contract.[5]

Fleet

Jacobsons currently has a fleet of approximately 44 vehicles.[1] Most of the fleet is on the Scania K-series chassis, alongside a smaller number of Volvo, Iveco, and Higer vehicles among others. Majority of the fleet has bodies built by either Volgren or Higer with the remainder of vehicles built by number of other bus manufacturers including Custom Denning, P&D Coachworks and Irizar.[6] The Jacobsons Coach Tours livery consists of two blue and one grey stripe along the side of the bus with the Jacobsons name over the stripes.
