Hasset Dereje Admassu (Amharic: ሀሴት ደረጄ አድማሱ) is an Ethiopian beauty pageant titleholder who is currently Miss World 2025 in the First Runner-Up.
Biography
Hasset Dereje was born in Addis Ababa. She studied chemical engineering at Addis Ababa Science and Technology University. She spoke about her achievement in academic career as her "her proudest achievements".[1][2]
At Miss World Ethiopia 2024, Hasset won the contest that led her preparation to future Miss World 2025.[3] She finished First Runner-Up at Miss World 2025 with Thailand's Opal Suchata Chuangsri crowned the winner, marking Ethiopia's the first highest ranking in the history. Hasset became ambassador for Maya Charitable Organization, working with awareness about spinal bifida and hydrocephalus. She is also an advocate for women’s health and education, promoting to change and empower women in Ethiopia and beyond.[4][5]
