Bernie H. Ashman (born November 24, 1947) is an American astrologer and author.^[1] He has written several books on astrology and contributed to astrology software programs.^{[2][3][4][5][6]}

Ashman was born in Springfield, Massachusetts. He earned a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Florida in 1971. He began studying astrology in 1973 after reading The Astrology of Personality by Dane Rudhyar.^{[2][3][4][5][6]}

His first book, Astrological Games People Play, was published in 1987, followed by additional works including SignMates (2000), Sun Signs & Past Lives (2010), and How to Survive Mercury Retrograde (2016). He has also contributed interpretive texts for astrology software.^{[1][2][3][4][6][7][8][9]}

Some critics argue that Ashman's highly imaginative and speculative writing has misled newcomers and diverted them from the foundations of classical astrology. A few even go so far as to label his books a "scam" and a "disgrace" to the discipline, claiming they create confusion and weaken serious astrological study.^[10][11]
